Where can i buy the nick jonas diabetes shirt everyone was wearing at the walk in LA. ? I saw everyone wearing a nick jonas shirt with blue writing on it and i was wondering where i can get one because i really want one. I didn't go to the walk but i was wondering if anyone was selling the shirts.

I know he works with the ADA (american diabetes association) to help them raise money for awareness. But I dont know if he works with other charities as well or not. So start with by looking to see if you can find any info out on their website or myspace and go from there! I did a quick Google search to look for information about his fund. Are you sure there is one? I found links talking about him walking for the JDRF ... maybe he's asking people to send money there ... ? I don't know."

He has type 1 diabetes, and when hes onstage he has this mic hooked up so he can talk to his brothers and a couple people backstage and if he feels that he may need some insulin, he tells his brothers to go to plan B and then joe starts talking to everybody and reading their signs that they have up, and even though it may only take nick just one minute, joe will still talk for about 5 to make it seem natural. Nick Jonas has had diabetes since 2005 and released the news in 2007. and he will not die unless it gets very bad."

Auntie Em replied: "Nick Jonas has Juvenile Diabetes or some call it Type 2 diabetes. It is nothing like regular diabetes which is Type 1. I know this because my child is Type 1 and I am Type 2. Juvenile diabetes is when the pancreas stops working and doesn't produce insulin anymore. This usually occurrs during childhood. Jonas, like my child, developed his diabetes during his early teens. When the child and parents are told the diagnosis, they feel like the child's life is over, which does not have to be true. Some even go through a grieving period or a denial period. If the diabetes isn't managed properly, eventually blindness, kidney loss, loss of limbs, and even death will eventually occur. Jonas just wants other kids to know that they aren't alone with their Juvenile Diabetes and that even famous people get it and manage to live somewhat normal lives. I'm glad Jonas and others like him are out there educating the world about their illness. Before our child got it, we knew nothing about this kind of diabetes. I only knew about my kind of diabetes. We had to take classes on proper diabetic diets, how to give insulin shots, what to do when emergencies pop up, and so many other things. And yes, we do care about all kids that are diabetic. I hope this helps you understand better."

What if Nick Jonas NEVER got diabetes. What would happen? I love the Jonas Brothers and the fact that Nick DOES have diabetes really makes me appriciate him SO much MORE. He is my hero and my hero for the right reasons.

I loved that concert to pieces. It was a very awesome speech. did you not hear the whole thing or something? I was in tears. it was just so sweet and all of his soul was poured out into that speech. I couldn't hold back the tears. he was crying too i think."

Jonas brother freek replied: "He was talking about how 4 years ago he got diagnosed with diabetes and that he was in the hospital the night before a concert. He talked about how scared he was and that he thought that it was the end of the road for him. So he went and asked his mom if he was going to die. She said no and told him that he would just have to learn how to take care of it. He said that he wrote A Little Bit Longer on the set of Camprock at their hotel, because he said it was one of those days when his blood sugar was a little bit out of control. So on he way back to his hotel he passed this ballroom that had a grand piano in the middle of it. So he sat down and wrote the song. I think when ever he talks about it he gets teary eyed, cuz when i was at the concert in Portland he was defiantly crying a little, while he was talking about it. That was one of the best speeches ever!! It had me crying for 10 min strait. I was balling my eyes out. The way he worded it was just fantastic. I love Nick Jonas he's my favorite out of all 3 brothers. He's such an inspiration to me and i think he makes a great role model. I luv nick"
